Parents send ‘bad kitty’ to jail without trial or a chance to meow in her defense after she steals a bite of McDonald’s; hilarious debate ensues: 'Her diet doesn't let her have junk food'

• A well-meaning uncle showed up to meet his new niece, decided to treat the whole family to McDonald's, and handed his phone over to his brother to place the order. A perfectly reasonable thing to do. A completely innocent mistake. Except that nobody, not the uncle, not the brother, not anyone in that household,  ordered anything for Princess Bubbles.

  This was an error in judgment.

  Bubbles, understandably, had feelings about this. Strong feelings. The kind of feelings that don't stay feelings for very long when there's an unattended Big Mac sitting within reach. By the time the uncle returned from the bathroom, his burger had been audited. Just one bite. Precise. Deliberate. CEO-sized, as he described it. A statement, not a meal.

  Now, to his credit, the uncle remains open-minded about what actually happened. The wind could have taken it. A crow, perhaps. These are valid theories that deserve consideration and will not be investigated further.

  His brother, however, was less philosophical about the whole thing. Without a trial, without so much as a chance for Bubbles to present her side of the events, she was sentenced to air jail,  which, in fairness, came with extra head scratches, so the justice system in this household is at least somewhat rehabilitative.

• The uncle, now fully immersed in his role as the cool Reddit uncle, is reportedly looking into whether a "relative of black sheep" tax credit exists that would allow him to fund Bubbles' apartment, university education, and new car. Research is ongoing.

  In the meantime, the lesson here is simple: if you're buying McDonald's for the whole family, you order for everybody. Every single member of the household. No exceptions. No exclusions.

  Bubbles was just making sure you remembered that for next time.
